RIP Eva Zeisel
Zeisel is considered one of the most influential designers of the 20thCentury. Her simple and sinuous 1950s tableware collections revolutionized the way people ate, cooked and regarded common household objects. She brought high design (some might even say art) into the mainstream American home.
Well worth a read, this short article outlines the history and inspiration that was Eva Zeisel. I've mentioned my abiding love for my Hallcraft white bowl designed by Zeisel here. A designer until her death, she will be sorely missed.
